Pigott was thrilled to take part in the 2023 Iowa Association of Business and Industry’s Taking Care of Business Conference. We were proud to bring Ryan Anderson, Vice President of Global Research and Insights at MillerKnoll, to the conference this year as a keynote speaker to share the latest workplace trends with over 500 of Iowa's business professionals.
Exploring the Future of Work and Workplace
Ryan Anderson shared global research from MillerKnoll and Future Forum (a research consortium that includes MillerKnoll, Slack, Boston Consulting Group, and MLT) that paints a clearer picture of where work is headed and how organizations can best support it.
“Let's be clear, despite the headlines, the office is not dead. Is it in a time of major re-evaluation? Yes. Will many corporate real estate portfolios be reduced as a result of hybrid working? Yes. But they'll include a higher number of smaller, more distributed, and better - yes, better - spaces, that offer improved employee experiences.”
Pigott sponsored a lounge at the conference for all attendees to take a moment to relax between workshops, informally chat with a new acquaintance, or take a private phone call in our Framery Pod. On Wedensday, we sponsored the Chair's Reception and Dinner at our Cedar Rapids Showroom and The HarMac, an event venue located above our Showroom. All guests were able to mingle and network throughout our showroom as they made their way up to the rooftop for a beautiful summer evening spent with great company.
Our team worked tirelessly over the past year to create an exceptional experience for this year's conference. Kim Augspurger, Consultant at Pigott, served as Chair, and Tami Anderson, VP of Strategic Marketing, served as Conference Committee Chair.
It was a full week of amazing workshops, inspiring speakers, and networking with our fellow Iowa business leaders. Our team will be riding a high for quite some time.
