Each year in June, we look to NeoCon for the latest and greatest inspiration for workplace design and space planning. Our vendor partners packed this year’s show with insight and new products, providing nearly endless design possibilities for our client partners. Check out some of our favorites from NeoCon 2019.
Herman Miller highlighted the diversity of Herman Miller Group, an integrated placemaking hub fueled by Herman Miller’s knowledge of people and fulfilled by their family of vibrant brands: Herman Miller, Colebrook Bosson Saunders, Design Within Reach, Geiger, HAY, Maharam, naughtone, and Nemschoff. The diversity of the family of brands was shown through highly contrasting settings across the spectrum of commercial interiors. From private workstations to learning and healing environments, Herman Miller showcased a thoughtful curation of products from all brands. We especially loved the highly saturated color palette shown throughout the settings. Say "so long" to pops of color, and "hello" to beautifully saturated spaces.
Herman Miller's showroom design was awarded Best Large Showroom by IIDA and Contract Magazine. We couldn't think of a better way to cap an 80 year residency at Chicago's Merchandise Mart. Herman Miller announced that after eight decades at The Mart, they will be moving locations to the up-and-coming Fulton Market District of Chicago. This move will provide Herman Miller with an outstanding opportunity to house their entire family of brands under one roof. Click here to learn more about Herman Miller's showroom at NeoCon 2019.
Naughtone launched two highly functional product families, Hue and Lasso. Hue was designed to provide space division while encouraging collaboration at a higher posture. As a retreat for group or individual work, Hue is perfect for use in narrow spaces, and is ideally suited for pre and post-meeting spaces. Lasso is a seating and table system that can be easily moved as a perfect solution for team environments.
The OFS showroom looked fantastic this year, featuring beautiful muted tones throughout their settings. Two products that stood out to us were the LeanTo booth solutions and the Kasura guest chair, both winners of Contract Magazines's Best of NeoCon Award. LeanTo provides a beautiful built-in aesthetic, perfect for a place to escape either for individual or small group work. Kasura is a wonderful solution for multi-use seating, and believe us when we say the sit is phenomenal.
We are always on the hunt for the next great stool solution to accompany our offerings. We came across Source International's Viiva stool, which has a nice industrial aesthetic. This stool comes in a variety of finish options and as well as a range of sizes including chair height, bar height, and counter height.
Davis celebrates 75 years with some fantastic wins on five product introductions. Two products stood out to us - the M75 chair and Lift table. M75 is a modern take on a Davis classic and a perfect solution for executive and conference seating. We adored the fresh style of the Lift occasional table. The functionality of the height-adjustable base makes this table small and mighty for a wide range of applications.
Winning both Best Small Showroom and Best of Competition by IIDA and Contract Magazine, the Hightower showroom left us completely inspired. Hightower did a fantastic job of melding contract furnishings with the warm feeling of residential environments, a prominent trend in workplace design today. Some of our favorite products shown were the newly released Nadia Stools, Boxplay Sofa, Lamino Chairs, Gimbal Low Lounge Rocker, and Savannah Chairs.
